Destinee Cosmetics Brand Guide

Objective:

For this project we had to make up a brand of our own and design a booklet explaining the brand. I decided to invent a cosmetics line using my name: Destinee Cosmetics. After deciding I was going to invent a makeup and beauty line, I had to figure out who I wanted my target audience to be and design a logo.

Color Palette:

#FBE3ED
#D5BDE0
#535153

Objective:

These were not a school project. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and have always wanted to digitally illustrate, so I created these mini food graphics. All of the graphics shown above all show a very similar style: simple and minimalistic. They’re also all flat, yet playful in color and design, too. These were all created in Adobe Illustrator.

Objective:

The purpose of this assignment was to pick 4 out of the 50 states and design a poster for each of them. The states I chose were Hawaii, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Alaska. I decided to design these posters with a very organic and imperfect look by using the pen tool, hence the white spacing in between each element.  [Read more…] about State Posters

Lotsa Pasta

August 8, 2018 by Destinee DeSousa

Objective:

In quarter 5 of my Associate’s degree, I had to design a brand name and logo and then design a pasta box for the brand. I came up with a brand called “Lotsa Pasta”. I also wanted to incorporate a charity with the pasta brand so I picked “Locks of Love“. My target audience for this brand was directed towards kids and females who want to help a good cause.

Logo Design:

One of the first steps I took in creating a logo for this brand was experimenting in Adobe Illustrator with various types of fonts. Then I incorporated a heart I illustrated in between the words “Lotsa Pasta” to make the brand more “warm” feeling.  [Read more…] about Lotsa Pasta

Mei’s Snowball Offensive Kinetic Typography

August 8, 2018 by Destinee DeSousa

http://destineelynn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/desousa-final-kinetic-2.mp4

Objective:

For this assignment, we had to create a kinetic typography piece. We were allowed to pick any audio file from a scene from any TV show, movie or video game. We also had to use a Sure Target plugin to have the camera move precisely and exactly where we wanted it to. The audio file had to be at least 15 seconds long, so there would be a good amount of time to animate the type to. I chose an introduction to a mini game called: “Mei’s Snowball Offensive” from the video game, Overwatch.
