Objective:
For this project we had to pick a micro-brewery from a hat to rebrand, I picked Flying Fish Brewing Co. After picking a beer brand we then had to do diligence and figure out a way to make the brand even better. We had to define a specific target audience to market the craft beer brand towards and redesign its logo and packaging. This included a beer bottle label, a six-pack, a coaster, and a poster.
Background of Flying Fish Brewing Co:
Flying Fish Brewing Co. is a brewery company located in New Jersey. Flying Fish’s target audience are customers who are located in New Jersey since all of their microbreweries are only located in New Jersey. I will also be targeting customers of New Jersey who care about the environment since Flying Fish Brewing Co. is a showcase for recycling, reuse, and conservation. Flying Fish recycles paper, metal, glass, and pallets. They are currently working on a way to reuse shrink wrap, although they’ve dramatically reduced their use of it. I believe that since I have never seen or heard of a beer brand that is conscious of the environment, this would be the perfect opportunity to expand and capitalize on it.

Mission Statement:
With this rebrand, I completely changed their logo and packaging, which will emphasize on sustainability within the environment. I will be further improving and expanding upon the color palette and logo by making it organic looking to stand out from the other beer labels and to show customers they support the environment and believe in preserving it in any way they can. Flying Fish promises to be kind to the environment and be safe for the planet by recycling (reduce, reuse, recycle). The beer bottle will be recyclable and the beer label will be biodegradable. Since Flying Fish are 10 time medal winners at the Great American Beer Festival, they can guarantee their beer is high quality and the freshest. Also, Flying Fish beer can be paired with any food.
